Do you want to meet young people from different countries and feel the international spirit? Do you know English or another foreign language? Do not hesitate, just come to the International Office and become a Buddy!

Who is a Buddy?

It is a person who is ready to help foreign students coming to Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University for a semester or two within the Erasmus+ programme. The incoming students often need somebody who can get in touch with them before their arrival, or pick them up from the airport or a train station, help them to buy a bus or tram ticket, advise them on accommodation etc. The Buddy is a person who can show them the campus and provide assistance as regards organizational issues at university, especially at the beginning of the semester.

What kind of people are we looking for?

• open
• with positive energy
• available and ready to help Erasmus + students (especially at the beginning of the semester, because foreign students usually come at the end of September and February)
• responsible
• liable
• with a good command of English and/or other foreign languages

Why to become the Buddy?

• you can practise your English or another foreign language
• if you apply for the Erasmus+ mobility for study and/or traineeship in the future, your help will be taken into account during the recruitment process and you will get additional points
• you can get a confirmation issued by the International Office
• you can participate in meetings, orientation weeks and cultural events organized for the incoming Erasmus+ students
• you can meet new people and find more about other cultures
• you can get practical information about foreign partner universities
